Latest Site Update (cuttings etc.):
See our Comment @ Cuttings Archive page for the latest site & series news and comment.
Born on the 23rd of November 1963 the classic series of Doctor Who became a sci-fi legend, lasting 26 years in transmission it ended in 1989 - a one off TV Movie aired in 1996.
This, however, was not the end; Doctor Who lived on in books, videos and DVD's, in audio plays and novellas until it's rebirth as a flagship BBC ONE series in March 2005.
The Cuttings Archive chronicles popular press and media coverage of the programme from 1963 right up to the present day and contains approaching two thousand Doctor Who related articles from newspapers, general magazines and listings magazines.
We also include an extensive collection from the BBC's own listings magazine the 'Radio Times'.
In addition there are pages containing examples of adverts, comics and many other items of related interest.
Scroll down this page for details of our most recent updates.
Please note comments for Commercial Genre Press/Magazines below.
NOTE: No articles are posted on The Cuttings Archive before the publication they come from is off the news stands and no longer for sale. Please support the newspapers and/or magazines concerned by buying their publications as often as possible. Please also visit their websites, the URL's of which are included alongside every cutting we include or see our links pages.
The cuttings for 'Robot' have now been upgraded from the frankly awful scans we've had on here since 1998, we hope to do the same for other low-quality scans from this era and to add more to the cuttings for the Pertwee and Tom Baker eras, all time permitting. [view]
Hot on the heels of yesterday's update here's another addition to the site:
It's been a while but here we are again with some additions to our cuttings and a number of new and changed pages.
The best way to cover the updates is probably to list them so here goes:
Enjoy the update and be sure not to miss our regular STOP PRESS items on the new series.
We would like to state that if anyone in the commercial genre press, DWM for example, would like to use images and/or information from this site you are welcome to but we politely request:
Please feel free to contact us if you would like to discuss this.
We say the above because a lot of unpaid hard work goes into compiling this site and sadly in the past items from this site have been used without any credit or contact with us being made.
Join our New Mailing List for information about updates and more - this is a new list so unfortunately all previous members of our Mailing List will have to re-join, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
