Theatre:
Singing the praises of Catherine
Musical theatre was almost unknown in Russia before the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991. Since then, foreign musicals such as Cats, Metro, Notre Dame de Paris and Chicago have filled theatres in Moscow and St Petersburg.
