Conor Oberst Launches World Tour
There are still a couple weeks until Conor Oberst releases his first solo album in 13 years, but the Bright Eyed songwriter is getting a jump on his fans by starting his world tour today (July 16) in São Paulo, Brazil.
Oberst isn't flying completely solo, though. Supporting his sets will be his newly formed Mystic Valley Band, and his opening acts include fellow dreamy indie frontperson Jenny Lewis and Evangelicals.
Conor Oberst hits the UK via Wichita on August 4 and the U.S. via Merge on August 5. On Oberst's website, you can see a teaser video featuring footage of the recording of the album in Mexico.
