6 Metal Videos that Rule

In addition to my love for horror films and video games, I'm also a fatty metalhead and thought that I haven't used my GamePro blog in a bazillion months and what better way to post something new than to share some of my favorite heavy metal videos with you. I know some of you users dig metal, so without further ado, let's bring on the metal music videos.

Hypocrisy's "Killing Art" - A violent collage of clips from various horror movies set to Swedish death metaller's 1996 song about killing art (which has a double meaning when you think about it... Art about Killing and the act of Killing so-called "Art" with violent art). I love this damn video, goes quite well with the music and it contains moments from some of my all-time fav horror flicks: Day of the Dead, Phenomena, Dawn of the Dead. Killing Art is probably my favorite music video ever.

Kataklysm's "Beckoning of the Xul" - Old school Kataklysm that in no way resembles the band and their music as it sounds today. Displays how nuts the singer was back then.

Amon Amarth's "In Pursuit of Vikings" - Viking lore, Windmill headbanging, a cabin, some fire, animal horns filled with brew, and Odin in this really cool, simply but effective video from Amon Amarth.

Norther's "Mirror of Madness" - Sure, they sound a little like Children of Bodom and they also happen to be from Finland, but I think they're superior. MoM happens to be one of their best songs. Another video that uses a simple backdrop effectively. Groovy melodic death metal, but easy for anyone to enjoy.

Dimmu Borgir's "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse" - Sure, this video is a little over-the-top in its cheesiness, but it's also hands-down one of the highest production values for a metal video. It's like something out of a Hollywood movie. The song is epic too.

Darkane's "Chaos vs. Order" - This video by Darkane uses live concert footage for their Chaos vs Order video and the result is pretty badass.
