AmpFest Clash of the Bands

The AmpFest competition is an opportunity for young musicians to showcase their talents, gain experience, and be in the chance to win prizes which include cash, vouchers and recording time. Plus there's the bonus of getting to play in front of a large, pumping crowd.

Mike Swann from 2004's winning band BulletChild, said that AmpFest had been a fantastic experience for their band.

"Not only did we get to play in front of a live audience, we also learned a lot about the music industry and we met professional musicians, who shared great tips with us," he said.

Drug Aware

The AmpFest competition is open to all Western Australian original unsigned bands, excluding solo artists. To be eligible for the competition, the majority of the members in each band must be aged between 13 and 25 years inclusive.

AmpFest - Clash of the Bands, presented by Drug Aware, is a smoke and alcohol free event. AmpFest is also a free youth event, proudly supported by Healthway and the City of Subiaco and the Towns of Claremont, Mosman Park and Vincent, in conjunction with their Youth Advisory Councils.
