On-air since 1983, community station Eastside Radio broadcasts to the greater eastern Sydney area and beyond. We provide the best of specialist music, community and arts programs.
Coverage and Audience Who listens to Eastside Radio?
You can hear Eastside Radio throughout the municipalities of Botany, Randwick, Waverley, and Woollahra, plus the City of Sydney.
15% of people aged 14 and over listen regularly to community radio. Eastside's signal reaches upwards of 300,000 people in the heart of the city. A conservative estimate of our audience is 30,000 people.
Our music encompasses the full range of music styles - from swing to Latin to bebop. Our specialist music programs cover soul, blues and funk, Cuban and Brazilian, gypsy, world and dance. We also have magazine shows with talk and interviews: Arts in the morning, with stories on the arts and Drive East in the afternoons, featuring discussion of community and political issues.
Eastside's presenters are enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteer presenters, many of whom are prominent figures in Australian music, the arts and the community.
