About The Online Boating Safety Course
Is it compulsory for any person wishing to obtain a general or personal watercraft (PWC) licence to complete a Boating Safety Course prior to undertaking the licence test.

One method of satisfying this requirement is via the on-line presentation. The applicant has 12 months to complete the course and sit the licence test.

To complete a Boating Safety Course you must ensure that your PC meets our System Requirements. First time users will be required to Register in order to purchase a course. A $10 fee applies for each course and the acceptable payment methods are VISA or MasterCard.

Hardware: Printer, Sound Card (Audio)

General Licence Boating Safety Course
General Licence Boating Safety Course
Price: $10.00 inc GST
This is the course that must be studied by those people wishing to sit the test for a General Boat Licence. This course is the same for both young adults (aged 12 to under 16 years) and Adults (16 years and over).

A certificate of completion is issued at the conclusion of each course.

PWC Licence Boating Safety Course
Price: $10.00 inc GST
This is the course that must be studied by those people wishing to sit the test for a Personal Watercraft (PWC) Licence. This course is the same for both young adults (aged 12 to under 16 years) and Adults (16 years and over).

For persons who already hold a general boat licence and wish to “upgrade” to a PWC licence, only the PWC Safety Course needs to be completed.

For persons who do not hold a general boat licence and wish to obtain a PWC licence, then both the general and PWC courses must be completed. The general licence test must be successfully completed before the PWC test can be attempted.

A certificate of completion is issued at the conclusion of each course.


Certificate of Completion:

Once you have completed a course, you will need to print a “Certificate of Completion”.

This certificate must be taken to your chosen testing venue. Without your completion certificate, you will be unable to sit the licence test.
