Representatives of Avon Scouts and their advisers will be available to discuss plans. The first phase is part of a 10 year strategy for improving facilities at Woodhouse Park, and details of the overall plan for the site will also be available. Bristol Evening Post 24 July 2008

	Woodhouse Park is conveniently situated for expeditions to the Cotswolds, the Mendips and the Wye Valley, and is 8 miles north of Bristol. The Scout County of Avon's Woodhouse Park is a 36 acre site comprising camping grounds, a Training and Activity Centre and a Pack Holiday Centre.
The site is enclosed by pleasant areas of woodland. It lies on an escarpment overlooking the Severn Bridges, which are some 5 miles away. The site is located next to the A38 trunk road to Almondsbury, approximately 8 miles north of Bristol and 1 mile from the M4/M5 interchange.
Woodhouse Park is in the county of South Gloucestershire north of Bristol. The Scout County of Avon covers the counties of South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath & NE Somerset and North Somerset. The site is an excellent resource for Scouting in Avon as well as for other Scouts and members of other youth organisations. The site is also available to commercial organisations. All bookings require a minimum of 2 weeks notice (this includes day/evening visits), activities requiring an instructor must have a minimum of 4 weeks notice and if own instructor provided then 2 weeks notice required. All bookings also require completed booking forms/activities booking forms. This is necessary due to site security. This website provides you with some basic information on Woodhouse Park.
