The Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget is mere weeks away, and to keep you from dying of excitement, we're going to be holding a weekly caption challenge to help distract from the crushing anticipation. Just take a gander at this photo and drop your funny caption ideas in the comments.
The best caption will win congratulations and respect from the blog that was recently named, "What's a blog?" and "Why can't you be more like your brother?" by a panel of my grandparents. Just kidding, I don't have a brother and all my grandparents are dead. I was just taking you on a magical journey through the land of make-believe. Look up ahead, it's a pancake tree! And over there, it's me not crying every day of sixth grade!
How about some breaking news to sweeten your Monday afternoon?
Actor John Stamos is jumping into bed with COMEDY CENTRAL as Roast Master for this year's "COMEDY CENTRAL Roast of Bob Saget." The event tapes in Los Angeles at the Warner Brothers Studio lot on Sunday, August 3. The "COMEDY CENTRAL Roast of Bob Saget" will air on Sunday, August 17 at 10:00 p.m.
This year's Roasters include Susie Essman, Greg Giraldo, Artie Lange, Tracy Morgan, Jeffrey Ross, among many others to be announced.
Have mercy!
Don't touch the hair!
Where's the beef?!
Still no word on the status of Kimmy Gibbler and that kid who played Duck Face, but you can rest assured when those unknowns become knowns, you'll know it before you can say, "There's a car in the kitchen!"
After the jump, some hot, foxy Stamos-on-Stewart action.
The Comedy Central Roast of Bob Saget is still more than a month away, but if you're jonesing for some Saget and you're all out of Subutex, here's a clip of Bob at the South Park 10 Party.
More details about the roast are due to come out any day now. When they do, I'll be sure to shove them down your throat.
Bob Saget's about to have something in common with Donald Trump and Flavor Flav. You know, apart from a paternal grandmother. Yes, that's right, Bob Saget is the next Comedy Central roastee. "It's an honor... My ass is already sore," stated Saget. The big show is taping soon and will air on August 17. In the meantime, here's a funny Bob Saget video.
On offending an audience and his role in The Aristocrats:
"I never walked anybody. Actually, in my whole career, in my whole thirty years of standup, maybe four people walked out. I can't even remember.
"It's R-rated, the Aristocrats. My standup would be NC-17 in that thing. That's not standup; that's just me sitting in a chair talking filthy in a comedy club late at night because Penn Jillette and Paul Provenza tee'd me up and said, 'Hey, come on. We love how dirty you are. Let everyone know.'"
It doesn't seem to be up on their site yet, but a little bird told us that Bob Saget will be a guest on NPR's hilarious news quiz "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me!" this weekend.
