In his first fight since August 2005, former two-time world title challenger Antonio "Tono" Diaz (43-5-1, 29 KOs) outworked Felix Flores (22-7, 16 KOs) over twelve rounds for the WBO Latino junior middleweight title on Friday night at the Kissimmee Civic Center in Kissimmee, Florida. It was a good action fight with both fighters having their moments, but in the end, it was Diaz prevailing via majority decision by scores of 115-113, 116-112 and 114-114.


Unbeaten super bantamweight Wilfredo Vazquez Jr (12-0-1, 10 KOs) won by fourth round disqualification over Felipe Almanza (14-14-1, 7 KOs). Both fighters kept fighting after the bell in round three and an enraged Vazquez came out and dropped Almanza in round four. Almanza tried fighting after the bell again in the fourth and when he was restrained he tried kicking at Vazquez prompting the DQ.
In an upset, lightweight Wilson Alcorro (26-10-3, 17 KOs) stunned previously unbeaten Juan Carlos Batista (15-1, 9 KOs) via six round unanimous decision. by scores of 57-55, 57-55 and 58-54. Batista was deducted points in rounds four and six, costing him what would have otherwise been a draw.
