7-Eleven, Inc. was founded in Dallas, Texas in 1927. 7-Eleven, Inc. is the premier name and largest chain in the convenience retailing industry.

Based in Dallas, Texas, 7-Eleven operates, ffranchises, licenses and operates more than 34,200 stores in 14 countries. This represents an increase in excess of 2,100 locations over the prior year. A new 7-Eleven store opens to serve our ever-increasing customer base approximately every 4 ¼ hours.  More than 96% of the stores provide 24-hour, 7 days-a-week convenience to our customers.

7-Eleven has been the leader in franchising and licensing in the convenience store industry for almost 45 years. The company entered franchising in 1964, signed its first United States area licensing agreement in 1968, and signed the first international licensing agreement with Mexico in 1971.
