SAGALA - Youth and Children's Ministries

SAGALA stands for Salvation Army Guarding and Legion Activities.

SAGALA is a fun programme for young people aged 5-18 years.  It provides recreational, social and developmental activities in a happy and safe setting.

The programme is run in the following sections:

Life Saving Guard Organisation (Girls)

5 - 6

Explorers

Moonbeams

7 - 10

Adventurers

Sunbeams

11 - 16

Rangers

Guards

16 - 18

Senior Rangers

 

 

SAGALA has many parallel features to the Boy Scouts and Girl Guide movement with uniform wearing, regular meetings and an award system of badges. 

 

The programme is operated by volunteers who undergo training in areas of leadership, basic first aid, camping, knots and lashing, communication, just to mention a few.
