OfficeArrow™ Community Guidelines

Please take a moment to review a few guidelines for making OfficeArrow.com a site that everyone can use and enjoy and that nobody has to spend all their time monitoring.

Do

  • Complete your Profile. The more detailed information you provide, the more likely colleagues and others with similar interests will find you and engage with you, and vice-versa. Ask a question. Participate in a discussion. Start your own conversation. Comment on an article or anything you see or read on the site. The more you participate, the more rewarding your experience will be. Your comments and input will also help others, and it will help you build your own reputation.
  • Invite your colleagues and friends. Create or organize a group of folks in your area, in your industry, at your company, or who share common interests or backgrounds.
  • If you want, create a screen name, add a picture, or share something interesting about yourself.
  • Be factual and accurate. This includes what you put in your profile, your comments, etc.
  • Express your opinions and support them with accurate facts, if necessary. If you find factual errors or disagree with someone, point them out, and make sure you can explain the error. If you're citing something, give a reference for it.
  • Please keep within the bounds of a topic as initiated in that particular discussion. Try not to set off on a tangent. If you have something else to discuss, feel free to start a new conversation.
  • Have fun.

Don't

  • Be inflammatory or profane.
  • While we encourage debate and even vigorous argument, before you click that "Submit" button, take a moment to ask yourself: "Would I say this in person?" or "Would I want someone to say this to me?" You can be critical and direct, but don't make it personal.
  • Don't be offensive or libelous. Save the profane language for other venues. Personal attacks or obscene material are not welcome and will be removed.
  • Steal other people's ideas. Make sure that the ideas you put forward are your own. Give credit where it is due.
  • Try and sell stuff by passing yourself off as what you are not. If you are representing a company that may have a product or service that solves a problem or answers a question, say so and be transparent. If you have a product or service to sell, click on the Partnership Opportunities link on the OfficeArrow website and let us know how you would like to participate as a sponsor or vendor.
  • For the time being, post content in languages other than English. We are working on making OfficeArrow a global company and web destination, but it's going to take a bit of time to get it done.
  • Violate someone else's privacy. You can post as much personal and contact information about yourself as you want, but don't post anyone else's personal details or contact information. For more information, consult the OfficeArrow Privacy Policy.
  • We closely monitor conversations and activity on OfficeArrow. We reserve the right to remove any and all content that contravenes these guidelines. We also reserve the right to block users contravening these guidelines from logging in and posting material to the website.
