Stupid fake. While it's possible to get the tape to transport back and forth across the heads, when doing so it doesn't make the "scratching&quo t; sound like vinyl. It just makes the same sound backwards. I have tried this on reel-to-reel machines and the sound was CLOSE to scratching, but not the same.

He's probably working the rewind button which is why it doesn't bunch up the tape. I thought it was cool and don't think it's fake.
