Good luck to the athletes.
Except Felix Sanchez.
For Americans He sold out his country.
For Dominicans he is taking a spot on the team that should go to a Dominican.

I don't get the Dominican Mentality.

He had "issues" with the leadership of the US olympic Team so.......

He decides to run for the DR even though he IS NOT Dominican.

The DR wants him because he is good. Even though some guy who was born and raised in the DR. Worked hard all his life and trained every day will now have his Olympic Hopes dashed.

Great lesson out there kids. Your country will sell you out for a few pieces of Gold.

anthonyc get real, this is sports. If there is a better athlete available he gets your spot, period. No rules of the Olympic commissions were broken. This is competition, not affirmative action...if there is a better Dominican he could have gone to trials or world championship tournaments and won a spot.

He doesn't get it. Felix earned his spot among the Olympic athletes by performing well against athlete from other countries in the Americas. He didn't "take" a spot from somebody else, the DR simply wouldn't have qualified a spot for that event!

It is still wrong and Dominicans should be ashamed and embarassed.

I would prefer no Athelete from the DR qualifying than give up national honor.

I guess honor doesn't mean much to you guys.
