This week's update for Mac OS X, 10.5.4, added "RAW image support for several cameras," but didn't specify which cameras at the time. If you use Aperture, iPhoto, or anything that relies on Mac OS X's built-in RAW files handling capabilities, knowing what cameras are supported is a pretty important thing. Apple has now updated the list of supported cameras to include those covered with the 10.5.4 update.
The news is particularly good for those that picked up Canon's latest consumer digital SLR, the Digital Rebel XSi, as well as owners of the latest Pentax SLRs. Support is also included for the Leica mount-compatible Epson digital rangefinders and the high-end medium format-based Leaf AFi cameras. The complete list of models is:
Apple rearchitected the RAW engine in Leopard and Aperture to allow for more frequent updates to RAW support. Since nearly every new model requires a new profile for its RAW data, this is a good thing. And with additional RAW camera support added four times this year, Apple is making good on its promise to stay as current as possible with the deluge of new models released every year.

Apple has released iPhone 2.0.1 this evening, which contains bug fixes that will surely blow our socks off.
