Greetings!

We, the CYG family, are extremely happy with the response we have received from all of you. It is indeed heartening to see that you are all as enthusiastic and excited about the event as we are. Be rest assured that with your participation, the Commonwealth Youth Games 2008 will be a successful event.

Volunteers are considered to be the backbone of any international sporting event. Volunteering is a function which entails interaction among different people from all walks of life, including athletes, officials and visitors from all the 71 Commonwealth nations. All of you, engaged in different professions such as sport, medicine, business, and academics, coming together for the love of sports, will be great ambassadors and very important for the success of the event.

Each of you, as a volunteer is a host and every participant will be our personal guest. Your hospitality, warmth and enthusiasm would leave a lasting impression on our guests and they will take back with them the happy memories of a wonderful event and their hosts.

Let us get together to make CYG Pune 2008 a memorable event, a story of Pune’s spirit – so lets provide a great script.
