Britain's leading and best known archer, and an international for almost 20 years and a veteran of four Olympic Games. Alison took Bronze in Athens after a dramatic bronze medal match that went down to the last two arrows. She had beaten Atlanta silver medallist Ying He (CHN) in the quarter final before losing out to the eventual champion Park Sung Hyun in the semi final round.

In the bronze medal match she trailed Sun Chi Yuan of Chinese Taipei by three points at the halfway stage but fought back to tie the scores with one remaining.
