Paul’s versatility continued to be a valuable asset at both Reserve and Academy level. The Londoner is strong, athletic and, despite originally training as a full-back, caught the eye with a series of assured performances at centre-half.
He was duly handed his first professional contract at the start of last season and went onto appear 15 times for Neil Banfield’s second-string.
Paul’s commitment never faltered and his pace proved vital in shackling older, more experienced opponents.
The 18-year old gave a sterling performance in the pre-season friendly against Barnet and looks set to strengthen his position within the Club this term.
