The
new Central London
congestion charges
come into operation on
the 17th February 2003.
Chess & Bridge is situated on Euston
Road, which is on the
northern perimeter of the charge zone.
With the
following information you will
be able to shop with us without having
to pay the charge.
How much is the congestion charge?
The charge will be £5 per day, and applies to anyone who passes through the Congestion Zone. A map of the Congestion Zone, and how to pay the charge can be found at www.cclondon.com
No
charges on Saturday!
The
charge applies between 7am and 6.30
pm Monday to Friday. IT DOES NOT APPLY
ON SATURDAYS and so will not affect you should you decide to visit us during our Saturday trading hours.
Whereabouts
can I park?
For those who are planning to visit during the
week, the following car parks are situated within
walking distance of Chess& Bridge, and outside
of the Congestion Charge Zone. North
Gower Street (5 on the map)
Laxton Street (3)
There
are also parking spots by Regents Park, which
is about 5 minutes walk away from the store. Parking
can also be found on Albany Street (1), Osnaburgh
Street (2) and Drummond Street (4). Car parks
work out considerably cheaper than metered parking.
How
about loading and unloading?
We are always more
than happy to help our customers, and so
should you need to collect particularly bulky goods
from us (bridge tables, giant chess sets,
etc), then please call and we arrange to load and
unload at the front of the White House Hotel, just off
Albany Street. Please call us at least one hour before
the intended collection time. There is also
a
loading bay roughly 100 yards along the
Euston Road, just by Warren Street Underground station.
This is limited to a maximum 20 minute stay,
so please bear this in mind if you are collecting a large
number of goods from us. Pick ups after
6.30pm can be made from Conway Street by arrangement.
