item EasyCard:

EasyCard 

‧EasyCard, issued by EASYCARD Corporation, is an IC ticketing system for the metro, buses, car parks,etc.

‧An EasyCard can be used by one passenger only. When a passenger leaves through the gate, his or her EasyCard must be read by the sensor. The value of the trip taken will be deducted. If the balance is not enough to pay for the trip, the fare will be deducted from the deposit and the passenger may still exit the station. Value must be added to the card before it can be used again. When adding value to the card, the balance for the previous trip will also be debited.

Escort Passenger accompanying a disabled resident of Taipei City or County 1. 60% discount on each trip (Only when the Escort Card is used right after a Charity Card)

‧How to use the EasyCard:

Place the EasyCard over the sensor of the EasyCard logo at the gate. When it beeps or an arrow shows, the flaps will be opened to let passengers pass through.

How to add-value

Manually

Go to the Information Counter at any Metro station or any convenience store with an EasyCard logo to add value. Value can be added in increments of NT$500.

Add-Value Machines

Value can be added at Add-Value Machines in Metro stations using by cash or ATM card in increments of NT$100.

  • Good for one passenger, one journey.
  • Can be bought from Ticket Vending Machines in the station.
  • Valid only on the day of issue.

item One-Day Pass:

One-Day Pass 

  • Fare: NT$200.
  • This one-day pass is valid for unlimited Taipei Metro rides from first use until the end of service on a single day. It is valid for one passenger each time (Not including Maokong Gondola).
  • This one-day pass cannot be value-added.
  • The price of a one-day pass includes a refundable deposit of NT$50. The deposit can be claimed by returning the card within 3 days from first use. Damage to the card forfeits the deposit.
  • There are two designs for the EasyCard One-Day Pass: Commemorative Edition and Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall design.
  • Usage: Place the card over the sensor of the EasyCard logo at the gate. When it beeps or an arrow shows, the flaps will be opened to let passengers pass through.
item One-Day Pass (Paper Ticket):

One-Day Pass (Paper Ticket)

  • This ticket is no longer being issued. It is only available in exchange for a Taipei Metro gift coupon.  
  • Valid only on the day of issue.
  • This one-day pass is valid for unlimited Taipei Metro rides from first use until the end of service on a single day. It is valid for one passenger each time (Not including Maokong Gondola).
  • Good for one passenger only and cannot be used by other passengers.
  • Usage: Contact station staff to enter/exit the station through the "Group Ticket Entrance/Exit."
item Group Ticket:
  • There is a 20% discount for groups of 10 or more passengers and 30% discount for groups of 40 and more.
  • Usage: Contact station staff to enter/exit the station through the "Group Ticket Entrance/Exit.
item Single-Journey Ticket for Cyclists:
  • Fare: NT$80.
  • This ticket is valid for one person with a single bicycle. Please return ticket to station staff at your destination.
  • The ticket is only valid at certain stations and time periods on the day of issue.
  • No refunds can be given once issued. The ticket must bear TRTC’s stamp.
  • Usage: Contact station staff to enter/exit the station through the "Group Ticket Entrance/Exit."
item Commemorative Ticket:

Commemorative 

  • Ticket is only good for 2 trips; after the 2nd trip, it will be returned to the passenger.
  • This ticket cannot be refunded.
  • Keep ticket away from magnetic fields.
