Oh, Japanese television, how we love thee so. If you need a reason to share in our affection, look no further than this spot for Konami's forthcoming cell phone title, Metal Gear Ac!d Mobile. It's four minutes of sheer digital – as in fingers – brilliance, with action from MGS4 re-created using ... thumbs. Thumbs with mustaches and bandanas. Thumbs with OctoCamo. Thumbs.

Fantastic. Loved the pans with the vertigo effect.
But... the whole point is that you play with your fingers? Because it's on a cell phone? Wouldn't you use your thumbs? I think the R1/2 L1/2 buttons get more finger action than this game will.

Not a fan of the Ac!d series. Mostly because I wanted Portable Ops sooner than I got it. I think I could play this on a phone, though.

Great job messing up the whole "Watch what you report on before saying it comes from japan" thing, joystiq.

But awesome ad. Wonder if i'll ever actually see it on TV here in Australia...
