September 10, 2007
Public invited to attend
The planned reconstruction of I-94 east of Madison from I-39/90 (Badger Interchange) to County N in Dane County will be discussed at a public informational meeting on Wednesday, September 19, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) announced today.
The meeting will be held at the Village of Cottage Grove Municipal Building, 211 E. Cottage Grove Road, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. The municipal building is located east of the intersection of County N and County BB in the Village of Cottage Grove.
The meeting will be conducted in an open house format and project exhibits will be on display for review. There will be a brief presentation at 7:30 p.m. to provide an overview of the project. WisDOT and Ayres Associates staff will be available to answer questions. Participants will be able to provide written or verbal comments to project staff during the meeting.
WisDOT plans to expand I-94 from four to six lanes between I-39/90 and the County N interchange, and replace the bridges at Sprecher Road, Gaston Road, and County N. The interchange reconstruction at County N includes lengthening the four ramps, rebuilding County N through the interchange, and reconstructing 1,000 feet of County TT. A park and ride lot is proposed in the northwest quadrant of the I-94/County N interchange. Construction is currently scheduled for 2010 and 2011.
Persons unable to attend the meeting can make their comments by contacting Jim Buschkopf, Project Development Engineer at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Southwest Region, 2101 Wright Street, Madison, WI 53704-2853, (608) 246-3851.
