Na Végre!, meaning "about time!" or "at last!", is Hungary's biggest monthly publication dedicated to the local and visiting gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. Our magazine was first published on September 2001 as a 16 page A6 leaflet. Since then, it has grown to a 64 page A5 magazine available in the whole country. Na Végre! is a free publication financed via advertising. The editorial content makes up about 60% of the magazine and offers exclusive articles, regular columns, a weekly and monthly agenda as well as a complete guide for GLBT tourists visiting Hungary. To guarantee that Na Végre! be available in the whole country, we started a "for sale" issue in the beggining of 2006 available at various newsstands in Budapest as well as all major hungarian cities. You can see a list of all sales points by clicking here. Because of the lack of gay businesses in the countryside, this was the only way to guarantee that GLBT people living outside of Budapest or not wishing to visit a gay business could still have access to our publication.
Following our change in format in the Fall of 2005, we were able to significantly increase our appeal to advertisers. Besides advertisement placed by most gay and gay friendly businesses, new advertisers such as Lufthansa, Emi Music, Warner music, Multimedia Concerts, Pokka, C-Ice, Trafó theatre and the Hungarian National Dance theatre have placed ads in our publication.
