Ukraine is ready for talks with Russia about return of ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet to Crimea.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostiantyn Yeliseev announced this at a press briefing.
"We will solve this [the return of Russian Black Sea Fleet to Crimea] with Russia without emotions and hysterics," he said.
Yeliseev stressed that the issue of their return, after the ships participated in operations near the Abkhazian coast (Georgia), will be solved exclusively through talks.
He did not say how Ukraine can impede the return of the ships to their stations.
Yeliseev stressed that Ukraine is thoroughly studying the issue, the clauses of agreements concluded between the countries and international agreements.
As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Russia considers possible prohibition of the Black Sea Fleet return to Crimea as an unfriendly act of Ukraine.
On August 10, Ukraine warned Russia against participation of Russian Black Sea Fleet ships in the armed conflict in South Ossetia (Georgia) and stated that it reserves the right to bar ships and vessels that took part in the conflict from returning to Ukraine in accordance with the norms of international law and Ukrainian legislation.
