Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood are back together. "The Block," NKOTB's long-awaited release, hit iTunes and record stores Sept. 2.

Coincidentally, the long-awaited release of 2008's first in-season Bottom 10 also occurs on Sept. 2. SDSU, FIU, SMU, UNT and UTEP are reunited on the Bottom 10 block. But our band proudly introduces a new member: It's time for TAMU to dance its way up to center stage for a solo performance in the highly coveted No. 5 spot.

Not only did Texas A&M lose its first home opener in 21 years, but the Aggies lost it 18-14 to Arkansas State. We're talking about the Red Wolves, not the Razorbacks. Although considering Arkansas' escape against Western Illinois, the Hogs might have been a more welcome sight in Aggieland. Welcome back to College Station, Mike Sherman.

And welcome back to the Bottom 10, San Diego State. The Aztecs must not have liked being left off the Bottom 10's preseason concert. The best way to get our attention is to fall to an FCS school. Mission accomplished. SDSU's 29-27 loss to Cal Poly was enough to vault the Aztecs from off the charts to the top of the charts, passing preseason No. 1 Idaho -- and all the Vandals did was lose 70-0 at Arizona.

Pillow fight of the week: Arkansas vs. Louisiana-Monroe.

1. SDSU 0-1 "Didn't I (Blow Your Mind This Time)?": Uhhh, yeah. San Diego State should know that losing to an FCS school will do it every time. Think the game at Notre Dame will provide a tougher test than Cal Poly?
2. UI 0-1 "Don't Give Up On Me": How could we after Idaho lost a 70-0 thriller at Arizona? The Vandals have to be the only team in Bottom 10 history to fall from No. 1 after losing by 70.
3. FIU 0-1 "Hangin' Tough": Florida International's 40-10 loss to Kansas in the opener was enough to keep the Panthers hanging tough but just outside the bottom two.
4. UNT 0-1 "Call It What You Want": How about deserved? North Texas left the "Little Apple" angry after Kansas State administered a 45-6 pounding on the Mean Green.

0-1 "You Got It (The Right Stuff)": What's all the hullabaloo? The Aggies were beaten all to Chig-gar-roo-gar-rem by Arkansas State at Kyle Field. Rough! Tough! Real stuff! Texas A&M?
6. USU 0-1 "Treat Me Right": Moving Utah State from its No. 3 preseason ranking to No. 6 was the right thing to do after the Aggies lost a 27-17 pillow fight against preseason No. 10 UNLV.
7. UL-U-Pick 'em 0-2 "Full Service": Louisiana-Monroe and Louisiana-Lafayette, one of the Bottom 10's favorite pairings, delivered again. ULL lost by 30. ULM lost by 34.
8. UTEP 0-1 "Step By Step": The Miners sprinted into the Bottom 10 after their 42-17 loss at former Bottom 10 regular Buffalo.
9. SMU 0-1 "Lights, Camera, Action": The June Jones era opened with a flood of points -- for Rice. The Ponies lost 56-27. If the Owls scored 56 on SMU, how many points will Texas Tech score on Sept. 13?
10. SU 0-1 "Are You Down?": Syracuse managed only 68 yards in the second half against Northwestern. The Orange have won one of their past nine games. Yup, they are down.
