George Young - Columnist

Bio Picture
George Young
George Young has enjoyed a long and successful career as a political manager and businessman. He graduated from USC in 1959 with a degree in Political Science. Over a 30-year period, his firm managed hundreds of successful campaigns in every part of the country and helped clients achieve success on a variety of public issues. In the 1990's, George helped found an Internet services business in which he was active for several years. In the early 1990's, George began to post his opinions of SC football on the early Internet message boards. One of his features was a report on Monday Morning Quarterback meetings at Town & Gown. When WeAreSC was founded, George accepted an invitation to write columns for the new site and has been active ever since. He stopped writing his Monday Morning Quarterback reports in response to Coach Carroll's general request that he be allowed to speak candidly to MMQB without being quoted. George writes a feature column "George's Potpourri" and an analytical feature titled "Scholarship Math." George and wife Sue have three grown children, all Trojans. George and Sue live in Marina del Rey, California where he remains active in public issue consulting and writing for WeAreSC.com on his real interest, USC football.
