Trade unions and the Mayor of London to work together to tackle the appalling poverty that exists in London
Ken Livingstone and trade unions in London have agreed to discuss future action to address low pay in London, including development of a strategy to produce, publish and distribute comprehensive, high quality and up to date information on rates of pay for low paid occupational groups. On 4 July the TUC will hold a seminar, “Tackling Poverty in London”, at which unions and academics from the London Union Research Network will discuss actions that can be taken to begin to address causes of in-work poverty in London.
