Resistance 2 or Gears of War 2?

On Tuesday it was announced that Resistance 2 would be released on November 4th well for those of you who actually pay attention to release dates: Gears of War 2 is set to release November 7th. The question remains..which one will you be getting?

Personally if I was going to pick one I would go with Resistance 2. The game looks really interesting to me and there is just a little bit more in there that makes it worth my money and only $10 more than GoW2. But I would first have to get a PS3!

I'm getting gears the normal edition I'm not that crazed for it in my true opinion fuck gears 2, FAR CRY 2 WILL RAPE ALL!!! it even has a map editor... oh and it also is a freaken massive awesome game with plenty of content

Ahh...blasphemy! LOL. After playing Gears 2, mos def Gears! That's if I had a choice. I would get both. But to each his own.

i dunno I'm starting to backlash at gears a bit maybe that to do with the hype and the annoying gamers that play gears i find that are usually 8years old boys that are just a living stereotype

@Klaso- I seriously think thats the issue I am having with it as well..I'm kinda sick of hearing about it all the time. I am looking into Far Cry 2 though since I did enjoy the first one!
@sonyboy69- I completely agree. Plus I really want that figurine!
i think publishers and developers should remember that people can backlash if their is over advertising and hype but hopefully this game will be amazing and it'll beat the hype
Thanks for the link. I'm definitely going with R2, but that's simply because I wasn't a huge Gears fan. I do know Gears 2 is a lot better than the original, but the odd running and weird views just annoy me a bit. I do agree with some people above concerning games being over-hyped. For all we know, they both might be...

lol well from the look of it seems like you get more bang for you buck with RFOM2. Obviously has a lot more features I would say. I already have it PRE ORDER.

the resistance 2 collectors edition looks alot cooler than the gears 2 collectors edition.
I'm with gamingangel! I'm getting both! But I am more excited for GoW2. I have much more attachment to the GoW characters.
don't have a ps3, and I don't care about gears... I'm excited about skate 2, spore, the new armored core, and especially GHWT.
resistance does look cool though, but again, no ps3.

Nikole, GoW is the acronym for God of War. The correct acronym for Gears is either...well Gears, or GeoW. But again, I'm just being over specific. Or something. And somewhat crazy.
On a side note, I pick choice three, Killzone 2!
I have Resistance 1, but using a chainsaw-gun and a "meat shield" definately sounds like fun
RFOM 2 is my pick... GOW2 will be good i'm sure but the first one didn't live up to the hype for me ...guess it just wasn't my of game
