FC Halifax Town have signed former Crewe Alexandra striker Junior Brown after pre-season training tonight.

Brown, 19, came through the ranks at Gresty Road and has enjoyed a loan spell under manager Jim Vince at Witton Albion last season.

Vince told the official site tonight, "We have made a massive signing in Junior. I have known him for the last couple of seasons and I took him on loan at the end of last season which I was vey grateful for Crewe to allow me to do. "

"He did extremely well for us, he's a player with a lot of ability and he's a player which personifies what we are trying to do as a club. That is to play fantastic football and give the supporters value for money.  Junior Brown will do that for us. He's a fantastic signing for the club."

Brown told the official website, "I have known Jim for a while now, he took me on loan last season and he's a great manager. I agree with his philosophies about football.  He wants to play attacking football and please the supporters. This is a club which is definately going places.

Looking at the way we started on Tuesday, I believe we can go on and win this league and maybe push on to get the club back into the Conference."

Mattone Awang and Chris King both agree deals with Jim Vince and David Bosomworth

Two more players signed deals after training tonight with Kris King and Mattone Awang committing to the club.

Awang was on the books of Premiership side Liverpool and can play both right midfield and fullback. He has so far played in both of FC Halifax Town's friendlies against Tamworth and Bury this week

Rochdale born fullback King, 18, started his career at Leeds United and was at Premiership side Wigan Athletic last season.
