Virgin America is a California-based airline with brand new planes, attractive fares, topnotch service and a host of fun, innovative features aimed at making flying good again. The Virgin America experience is unlike anything else in the domestic skies, with mood-lit cabins, custom-designed leather seats, power outlets, and a video touch-screen at every seatback that features 25 films, live TV, videogames, seat-to-seat chat, an on-demand food ordering system and much more.
Launched in August 2007, the airline's base of operations is San Francisco International Airport's ultra-modern International Terminal. The airline will serve as many as 10 cities within its first year of operation, and up to 30 cities within five years. Virgin America currently flies to seven cities with daily flights from: SFO to LAX, SFO to JFK, SFO to SAN, SFO to IAD, SFO to LAS, LAX to JFK, LAX to IAD and now SFO to SEA. In Zagat's 2007 Global Airlines Survey of over 7,500 frequent fliers, the airline was ranked #1 among domestic carriers for quality in First Class and #2 among domestic carriers for quality in Main Cabin.
