Quick Take

Greg Biffle struck first in the Chase for the championship, passing Jimmie Johnson, who led a race-high 96 laps, with 12 laps to go at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and holding on for his first win of the season. It was Biffle's first victory since Kansas last September and bumped him from ninth in the Chase standings to third, 30 points behind co-leaders Johnson and Carl Edwards. Kyle Busch, the regular-season points winner, had a rough day, tumbling to eighth in the standings with a 34th-place finish.
