Albion have signed midfielder Joe Anyinsah on a month's loan from Preston North End.

The 23-year-old winger, who began his career at Bristol City, will train with his new team-mates this morning and will be available for the trip to Yeovil this weekend.

Having caught the eye at Ashton Gate, Anyinsah turned down a new contract with the Westcountry outfit in favour of a move to Deepdale in the summer of 2005.

Anyinsah then went out on loan at Bury before injury curtailed his spell at Gigg Lane, while a knee injury brought a premature end to his 2006/07 season.

The pacey midfielder was back in action for the 2007/08 season, enjoying a loan spell with high-flying Carlisle, which included the 2-2 draw at Withdean in November. He completed last season's campaign with a further loan stint at Crewe Alexandra.

"We're delighted to have Joe with us," Albion boss Micky Adams said.

"Preston want him to play regular first team football. He's a winger with terrific pace, and we feel that will be a big asset to us over the next month."
