Flashdance! What a feeling! While dragging his alt druid through Maraudon, John found this hidey-hole behind a leaf with a wonderful view of a luminous flower. All it was missing was a willing performer. So John logged onto his wife's blood elf (of course) priest and brought her in for a little private dance on the flowery stage. I hope you used the time to get her some items, John, or she's going to be pretty upset to find herself in a bikini in the middle of an instance next time she logs on.

Just who does that penguin think she is? Look at her, with her new leash and shiny grooming kit and love in her eyes. Of course she's going to get all of Deborah's attention. Meanwhile, I've been slaving away at Deb's side for twenty levels, fighting demons and bears and even some of my own relatives, and now he won't even turn and look at me. I might not be the prettiest or most huggable, but don't they say that when you adopt a ghoul, you adopt it for life? Fine, then. Next time Deborah needs some backup in combat and calls out for help, Ms. Chilly there can pick up the phone. I'm going to go back to the Plaguelands and find a death knight who really cares about me. Maybe a draenei this time.

What's going on in this pic? Warlock Sarah tells it in her own words (and not just because I'm too busy downloading the WotLK beta client to make some up for her.) "You see, as a warlock it is very important to treat yourself to something special. A healthy psyche is essential to cope with the dark void that constantly lingers. All of this soul-draining can really takes it out of you. Not to mention watching our opponents go up in flames - that stuff can give you nightmares for weeks! I decided to slip into a delicate number and get in touch with my feminine side. Finally a nice quiet evening. Free from the pathetic moans and cries from the fools that slowly perish under my beautifully potent affliction. But don't worry my children, I'll be back in the morning."

In a harsh world like Outland, even the orphans in Shattrath have to be tough. Parents killed in the war? Left abandoned in the fields? Tough noogies, kid. You'll grow up smoking and you'll like it, because it'll pass the time until your eventual untimely death of a stab wound to the face, a shadowbolt from the air, or some random warrior bringing you to the Illidan fight during Children's Week. Besides, it won't hurt you. You've got no death animation. (Thanks to Drewby of <My Pvpness is Horde> (sigh) on Deathwing for the photo!)

Some people enjoy beta testing. Some people enjoy pushing the limits of what the beta is capable of. And some people, like Dawnstalker of The Forgotten Coast, enjoy getting caught in a lag storm and sneaking into what he states is a suddenly NPC-less Icecrown Glacier. Dawnstalker states that this area is called The Fleshwerks, and it seems to live up to its name. Who's suddenly hungry for roasted chicken parts? I know I am! (Not really, but it definitely looks like a giant chicken factory.)

I'm not sure where Dreambolt is in this picture, but wherever she is, she won't be there for long. What caused this situation? Flying mount crash? Shipwreck? Lost a duel with a fire mage? Unless there's a sudden rescue by Azeroth Life Flight (made up of engineering priests, naturally), she's sunk.

We've all heard that shadow priests melt faces in PvP, but this is the first instance I've seen of holy priests burning your heart out from the inside in PvE. According to Taighan of Suramar, her husband Shadovare respecced from shadow to holy to help his wife out in the lower level instances. Taighan notes that this picture is of him Holy Novaing a large group inside the Stockades. For some reason, the neat rows of Defias, the sparkling lights, and the illusion of light bars across the screen remind me of Guitar Hero. Hmm ... mixing Guitar Hero and WoW -- Activision Blizzard's plan for world domination?

Despite my WoW beginnings on the opening-day PvP server Magtheridon, I'm really enjoying my new life on the roleplaying haven of Moon Guard. And part of the fun is running into completely random RP events, like this Valentine's party observed in Stormwind by Farreby of <Oath Sworn> on Thorium Brotherhood. Sadly, Farreby knows no back story here -- he writes that he merely walked by and took a screenshot of the synchronized dance moves. But why were no gnomes or dwarves invited? Someone call the Committee for Equal Heights!

One of the great joys of being a high level in WoW is when you get to go back and completely decimate enemies that owned you forty levels ago. This is why you often run into bitter level 70s repeatedly killing Mor'Ladim or Sons of Arugal. From what I could gather from his e-mail, Flobot of Turalyon was in a Deadmines group with such a vengeance-minded hunter. The "hunter runner" dragged all the local mobs back to the group, resulting in the carnage you see here. What did the miners ever do to you, unnamed hunter? Oh, right. The repair bills. Sorry about that.

Fine, fine, orcas aren't actually whales. There's nothing out there that rhymes with orca, so I had to improvise. What are you, a marine biologist? Anyway, Wrath of the Lich King photobloggerChaotique, of Perenolde's semi-infamous <Sleeper Cartel>, sent us a handful of irregularly-sized photos for Around Azeroth, including this shot of a struggling flying machine creating a smoke trail over a seemingly blissful marine mammal. With all the engineers and their polluting devices heading to Northrend, how long will it be before the air quality equals that of Los Angeles? But I suppose that in a world constantly being threatened by undead hordes and enormous red demons, pollution is the least dire threat.

Namus of Korialstrasz is back with another cool Wrath of the Lich King beta shot, this time from the road into Zul'Drak. While meandering along the path, Namus ran into this hideous flesh titan, also known as Thrym <The Hope-Ender>. Namus described him as "the size of a Fel Reaver but as sneaky as a Devilsaur", words that can strike fear into any WoW player's heart. Apparently he has 630,000 HP, hits for 7K+ on plate, and is considered the hardest outdoor boss in beta. He also doesn't seem to fall for the old angsty "we belong dead" routine -- that glow by his right foot is the remains of Namus. Ick.

Dear God. The only thing more terrifying than the knowledge that Astarri has somehow repeatedly dragged a post-Burning Crusade group through the horrors of Molten Core to garner at least two pieces of the Felheart set is the possibility that she only did it to match the garish Sin'dorei scenery. The pimp hat does fit quite well, though one wonders what exactly the Orb of Summoning is for. Is this the beginning of Outland's first red light district?

Most Trees of Life seem at home in rural environments. Ashenvale, Mulgore, even Zul'Aman -- anywhere with grass, trees, and lots of people begging for Innervate. But Shadowchaser of <Guardians of the Flame> on Proudmoore seems to have evolved to fit into modern urban life. Just chillin' with a beer in the basement of Wildhammer Stronghold, wedged awkwardly into a chair, and waving as his drinking buddies show up. I suspect that anyone Shadowchaser Lifeblooms tonight is going to have a hangover the next morning.

Who knew that Blizzard was getting so strict about guild bank theft? They've even installed security devices. Moonaholic, a member of <Damage> on Anvilmar, has apparently been sucked dry by this rogue vampire guild bank. Luckily she's already undead, so all she'll have to do is find a tailor to stitch up the gaping holes in her neck.

Hello, sir. I'm afraid that Kil'jaeden is not available to take your summon right now. I'm Nidhogg, his official assistant, and I'm filling in for him today. What do you need? A raid slaughtered? A world devoured? The slow corruption of a government? Wait! Please, don't go! I really need this chance. My wife is expecting and I'm looking for a promotion to a position within the Legion that offers health insurance.
Actually, Nidhogg of Frostmourne-EU snapped this photo after a bugged Kael'thas kill. He noticed that he and his group were able to "fly around as they pleased", so he took the opportunity to sneak into a suddenly non-hostile Sunwell for this pic. Thanks for the screenshot, Nidhogg!
