Albion strike duo Joe Gatting and Sam Gargan are set to go out on loan.

Gatting, who made just nine appearances for the first team last season, joins Bognor Regis Town for a month, and will be available for the Rocks' opening Blue Square South fixture against Worcester on Saturday.

First year pro Gargan will hook up with former Albion duo Charlie Oatway and Guy Butters at Havant & Waterlooville, also for a month. He will be available for the Hawk's match at St Albans this weekend.

Meanwhile, Crewe Alexandra have just one absentee ahead of Albion's opening match of the season at Gresty Road on Saturday; goalkeeper Steve Tomlinson is expected to be sidelined for another two months with a cruciate ligament injury.

Alex boss Steve Holland is hoping for a repeat of the Railwaymen's 2-1 win in the first game of last season.

"It is a little bit of deja-vu to be playing Brighton again on the opening day," Holland told the club's official website.

"A repeat performance and result would be ideal but we know it is going to be a tough game because Brighton just missed out on the top six last season."
