Weather Matters For Notre Dame-Michigan!
We are currently forecasting temperatures in the 70s for the Notre Dame-Michigan game on Saturday. Unfortunately, temperatures in that range haven't been especially kind to Notre Dame when they play Michigan in South Bend.

The Stats
I went back to 1978, when the ND-UM rivalry resumed after a long hiatus and only examined when the game was played at Notre Dame Stadium. Without exception, every time the high temperature for the day was in the 70s, Notre Dame did not win the game. There was a tie in 1992.

Some Hope?
However, as you can see, the temperature is above 80° or below 70°, Notre Dame has always won the game. There is a chance that the high temperature could exceed 80° on Saturday, depending upon cloud cover. Stay tuned for updates!

Verification
I first dug up this statistic in 2006. I was forecasting a high of 81°, and the high turned out to be 78°. Notre Dame lost by 26 points.

What Do You Think?
Of course, despite these statistics, the weather probably isn't the only factor in the game. How do you think the game will turn out? Post a comment and let me know what the final score will be!
