Hello Everyone, and thank you for visiting the Audrey Totter Homepage. I am very happy to be able to have constructed the
first homepage on the World Wide Web honoring Audrey Totter
and her film career. A tribute to Miss Totter is long overdue,
and if you remember Miss Totter and enjoyed her films, I think you will
find this webpage enjoyable and informative. If you are not familiar
with Audrey Totter, then this is your introduction to her, and I hope you
can come away from this site with a desire to learn more about her and her films.
The major part of her film work was accomplished during the mid- 1940's (Hollywood's Golden Age) and into the early 1950's. Audrey Totter is very much respected for her talent and professionalism. Miss Totter has received more attention recently with the renewed interest in film noir.
As far as I know she has not appeared in any acting roles lately,
but she did appear during the summer of 1999 on the Turner Classic Movies Channel
along with three other great ladies of film noir--Jane Greer, Marie Windsor, and Coleen Gray.
Audrey Totter has been quoted as saying that the films of which she is most proud are as follows: "Lady In The Lake" (1946), "The Set-Up" (1949), "Tension" (1949), and "Alias Nick Beal" (1949).
