Roddick Boosts Masters Cup Hopes

Andy Roddick boosted his chances of qualifying for Tennis Masters Cup Shanghai, after clinching his 26th career title in Beijing (d. Sela) last week. The American moved up one place to No. 6 in the ATP 2008 Race on 352 points – 62 points behind No. 5-ranked Nikolay Davydenko of Russia.

Spaniard Rafael Nadal, Swiss Roger Federer, Serbian Novak Djokovic and Scot Andy Murray have already secured their places at the prestigious circuit-finale to be contested at Shanghai's Qi Zhong Stadium from November 9-16.
