Ascent Solar President and CEO Foster resigns

Ascent Solar Technologies Inc. said Monday President and Chief Executive Matthew Foster has resigned but will remain with the company as a consultant for one year.

Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer Mohan Misra, 63, will serve as interim CEO, according to the solar cell maker.

Foster said in a statement that he decided to step down in mutual agreement with Ascent as it shifts from a research and development company to a manufacturing and commercial-oriented company.

Ascent said it immediately start a search for a permanent CEO.
