Required:

Items: 2 Wolf bones

Monsters: Wolpertinger (combat not required)

1. Speak to Pikkupstix, who is having trouble with a Wolpertinger he summoned. He will go over the basics of Summoning to explain what has gone wrong.

2. Go up the ladder to see a cut scene of you fleeing from the Giant Wolpertinger. You will return to the lower level.

3. Speak to Pikkupstix again - he will explain that he needs you to infuse the pouch and scrolls since he can't leave.

4. Speak to Pikkupstix with the two wolf bones in your inventory. He will give you the rest of the materials needed to make the right pouch and scrolls.

5. Open the trapdoor east of Pikkupstix and go down it.

6. Click 'infuse-pouch' on the obelisk south of you and select the Spirit Wolf Pouch from the menu of pouches that appears.

7. Use one Spirit Wolf Pouch on the obelisk and select 'Howl Scroll' (from the menu that appears) to obtain 10 Howl scrolls.

8. Go back up the ladder and speak to Pikkupstix, who will explain how to deal with the Wolpertinger.

9. Go up the ladder and right click 'Summon' on your Spirit Wolf Pouch after the cut scene ends. Click on the small head in the upper left corner of the summoning interface (outlined in red in the picture below) to use the 'Howl' special attack, then select the Giant Wolpertinger as the target.

After a short cut scene, the Wolpertinger and your Spirit Wolf will disappear.

10. Return to the ground level and speak to Pikkupstix to report your success. When you feel dizzy, he will tell you to renew your Summoning points.

11. Go down the trap door east of him to access the obelisk. Right click 'renew-points' on the obelisk to renew your Summoning points.

12. Go back up to the ground level and speak to Pikkupstix to complete the quest with an explanation of Summoning.
