Dougie Freedman has won the April Powerade Player of the Month Award in Coca-Cola League 1.
Dougie was in excellent form for United during the month, scoring three goals in six league fixtures.
He started the month by helping us pick up excellent away wins over Doncaster Rovers and Leyton Orient before going on to score twice in the 3-2 win against Carlisle after we were trailing 1-0 at half-time.
Dougie turned in another excellent display in the 2-0 win at Millwall and the on-loan striker rounded off the month by scoring the only goal of the game at Yeovil to guarantee our place in the top-six.
Also short-listed for the April award were Jo Kuffour of Bournemouth, Lewis McGugan of Nottingham Forest and Swansea City's Guillem Bauza.
James Beattie of Sheffield United won the award in the Championship and Aaron Wilbraham of Milton Keynes Dons landed the League 2 accolade.
