Nine players from Ulster counties have been included in Ireland's 27-man International Rules squad but there are a couple of notable omissions.

Ronan Clarke and Marty McGrath only make the stand-by list.

Captain Sean Cavanagh is joined by the McMahon brothers Joe and Justin and another Tyrone star Enda McGinley.

Armagh men Aaron Kernan, Steven McDonnell and Ciaran McKeever are named while Derry's Paddy Bradley and Down's Benny Coulter are also included.

Bradley makes the squad after being controversially left out of the 2005 tour in Australia.

The Derry county board were incensed by that decision and sent a letter of complaint to Croke Park.

Derry's Kevin McCloy, Down's Aidan Carr, Monaghan's Paul Finlay and Tyrone's Conor Gormley join Clarke and McGrath on the stand-by list.

Kerry have four squad members with Kieran Donaghy joined by Aidan O'Mahony, Tommy Walsh and Killian Young.

Wexford's fine season has helped earn a call-up for Ciaran Lyng while Wicklow's Leighton Glynn will also make the trip Down Under.

Dublin duo Bernard Brogan and Bryan Cullen make the 27-strong squad while manager Sean Boylan includes his fellow Meath men David Gallagher and Kevin Reilly.

Ireland squad: Sean Cavanagh (Tyrone capt), Graham Canty (Cork, vice-capt), David Gallagher (Meath), Colm Begley (Brisbane Lions/Laois), Paddy Bradley (Derry), Bernard Brogan (Dublin), Benny Coulter (Down), Bryan Cullen (Dublin), Kieran Donaghy (Kerry), Leighton Glynn (Wicklow), Finian Hanley (Galway), John Keane (Westmeath), Aaron Kernan (Armagh), Ciaran Lyng (Wexford), Steven McDonnell (Armagh), Enda McGinley (Tyrone), Ciaran McKeever (Armagh), Joe McMahon (Tyrone), Justin McMahon (Tyrone), Michael Meehan (Galway), John Miskella (Cork), Aidan O'Mahony (Kerry), Pearse O'Neill (Cork), Tom Parsons (Mayo), Kevin Reilly (Meath), Tommy Walsh (Kerry), Killian Young (Kerry).
