MARCH DESKTOP CALENDAR
This March we celebrate an anniversary of epic proportions. Back on March 12, 1996, the world was exposed to a new album called Bad Hair Day. Shortly after it peaked at #14 on the Billboard Charts and went Platinum, it was declared to be the greatest album ever. Multi-calendar submitter, Kristine Slipson, lets you honor and celebrate this anniversary all month long with her March calendar, with a nice minty Irish aftertaste. As you can see here, she used the semi-rare black and white version of the CD. There were only 500,000 copies produced like this. The first 500,000 were in color. After the first million, the graphic was changed to something completely different. If you’ve got an idea for a calendar submit it for April (no foolin!) and beyond!

Weird Al Show DVD coming August 15
The latest news from TVShowsOnDVD.com is that the The Weird Al Show - The Complete Series will be released on August 15, 2006 and be a 3-DVD set with all 13 episodes and extras. Yay!
Back in early January we pass along info from Weird Al Yankovic’s official website about how his short-lived TV series, The Weird Al Show, would head to DVD from The Shout! Factory later this year. Now DVDPlanet.com has a preorder listing for what is sure to be a fun and popular title. The release date is shown as August 15th, and you can expect all 13 episodes plus extras to come on a 3-DVD set. Price is $34.95 SRP, but you can lock in your order with DVDPlanet right now for just $24.47!
We’re still waiting on the studio to officially release the full info, and the cover art, so stay tuned for that. In the meantime, those of you who want a Weird Al experience while you wait, don’t forget to pick up the newly-released single-DVD release The Simpsons - Kiss & Tell. It contains the episode from the 14th season, “3 Gays of the Condo”, which features Al in a guest spot as, well, himself!
(Thanks to Maria Overmyer for the heads up!)

February Desktop Calendar
Ah a new year means a new calendar, and some resolutions. First is that we’ll put out a new calendar every month… What?! It’s Feburary?! Already? Are you sure? Well, who keeps resolutions anyway. Well at least we can announce them on time. Wait, it’s the 8th? Ok, fine. Just be lucky you’re getting a February calendar then. This month’s is a collaboration effort. The import 45 single of Eat It comes from the Torsoboy’s own personal collection and then multi-calendar submitter, Aron, made it look all spiffy and sparkly. Quite a nice 80s retro look, huh? Think you got the mad skillz to build one yourself and share it with the masses? Then make a resolution…one you’ll keep… and submit your own idea for calendar for March and beyond!
