Jan. 26 - Gasparilla Day Parade
Rays fans, be sure to watch for the Rays baseball float during the Gasparilla day parade -- beads and other Rays gear will be thrown to the crowds.

Feb. 4 - Hot Stove Show Live
Be sure to catch the Rays Hot Stove Radio Show, "Countdown to Opening Day," live from the St. Pete Ale House, Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m.

Feb. 8 - Rays on the Road -- Charlotte County
Rays President Matt Silverman, Senior Vice President of Baseball Operations Gerry Hunsicker, Senior Director of Development Melanie Lenz, Rays pitchers James Shields, Edwin Jackson and James Houser, and broadcasters Dave Wills and Andy Freed will be in Charlotte County on Feb. 8. The Rays will visit the Charlotte Sports Park site and take part in an autograph session at the Charlotte County Fair at 6 p.m.

Feb. 11 - Hot Stove Show Live
Catch the Rays Hot Stove Radio Show, "Countdown to Opening Day," live from the Sandpearl Resort , Monday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m.

Feb. 12 - Chamber Luncheon
Clearwater Regional & St. Petersburg Area Chambers are hosting the Rays Luncheon at Progress Energy Park, home of Al Lang Field in St. Petersburg. The luncheon is from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Attending will be President Matt Silverman, Manager Joe Maddon, Senior Advisor Don Zimmer, Special Advisor Fred McGriff, outfielder B.J. Upton, outfielder Rocco Baldelli, pitcher Dan Wheeler.

Feb. 12 - Rays on the Road - Lakeland
Rays first baseman Carlos Peña, pitcher Gary Glover and outfielder Justin Ruggiano will visit the Lakeland Regional Medical Center's Pediatric Unit on Feb. 12 and then Peña, Glover and Ruggiano will conduct a free baseball clinic at Peterson Park Hot dogs will be served free of charge. At 6 p.m. the Rays will greet fans and sign autographs at GrillSmith Restaurant at the Lakeland Town Center.

Feb. 16 - Rays on the Road - Sarasota and Manatee Counties
The Rays will visit Sarasota and Manatee Counties on Feb. 16 with Rays infielder Akinori Iwamura will serving as Grand Marshall at the Opening Day parades for the Central Sarasota Little League and the Venice Little League. Al Reyes and Jason Hammel will greet fans and sign autographs at Champs in the Sarasota Square Mall from 2 to 3:30 p.m., and will participate in the Manatee District 26 Little Leagues Opening Day Celebration at G.T. Bray Park. The festivities begin at 4:30 p.m. and feature family-friendly activities, including a face painter, clowns, balloon artist, juggler and DJ.

Feb. 18 - Hot Stove Show Live
Catch the Rays Hot Stove Radio Show, "Countdown to Opening Day," live from Ferg's Monday, Feb. 18 at 7 p.m.

Feb. 19 - Chamber Luncheon
The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Rays Luncheon at the Marriott Waterside from 11:45am to 1:15pm. Attending will be President Matt Silverman; Senior Vice President, Baseball Operations Gerry Hunsicker; Senior Advisor Don Zimmer; Special Advisor Fred McGriff; pitcher Scott Kazmir and infielder Jason Bartlett.

Feb. 21 - Rays on the Road - Brooksville
Rays outfielders Jonny Gomes and Justin Ruggiano and pitcher Andy Sonnanstine, Raymond and radio broadcasters Dave Wills and Rich Herrera will be visiting Brooksville as part of its 2008 Community Days.

Feb. 23 - FanFest
The Rays will hold their annual FanFest celebration on Saturday, Feb. 23, at Tropicana Field. Fan Fest hours will be 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for the general public, with 9:00 a.m. admittance for full season ticket holders. Admission and parking is free, as it has been every year.More »

Feb. 25 - Rays Charity Golf Classic
The 7th Annual Rays Charity Golf Classic will take place on Monday, Feb. 25, 2008. The Golf Classic is being held at Pasadena Yacht & Country Club an 18-hole championship golf course. This one-day event will be a scramble for foursome teams. Rays manager Joe Maddon along with Rays players, coaches, broadcasters and executives will be joining the foursomes for a day on the course. Feb. 28 - Chamber Luncheon
The Sarasota and Manatee Chambers of Commerce are hosting the “Meet the Rays Luncheon” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Polo Grill & Bar in Lakewood Ranch. Attending will be President Matt Silverman; Senior Vice President, Baseball Operations Gerry Hunsicker; Senior Advisor Don Zimmer; Special Advisor Fred McGriff. Players TBA.

March 1 - Spring Swing
Spring Swing-Moffitt's Sun Safety Tour is a partnership with Moffitt Cancer Center and the Tampa Bay Rays offering free skin cancer screenings at specified baseball Spring Training venues throughout the month of March 2008. The tour kicks off March 1 in search of the early signs of skin cancer while promoting sun safety and skin cancer awareness and education. Go to raysbaseball.com for more info.

March 28 - Al Lang finale
Celebrate 83 years of waterfront baseball in the final game to be held at Progress Energy Park, home of Al Lang Field.

April 1 - Street Team at Orlando Magic Pregame
Join the Rays Street Team at the Orlando Magic Pregame Fanfest at 5 p.m.

April 3 - Street Team at Festival of States
Look for the Rays Street Team at the St. Pete Festival of States Night Parade.

April 4-5 - Rays Watch Parties
Join us for Rays Watch parties at Ferg's Sports Bar in St. Petersburg on April 4 and Barnacles' Sports Bar in Brandon on April 5 as the Rays play in New York. Rich Herrera will be live with the pre- and postgame radio shows. There will be Rays giveaways and drink specials at both establishments.

April 5-6 - Street Team at Spring Fiesta
Join the Rays Street Team for Spring Fiesta in the Park, Lake Eola, Orlando from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

April 8 - Opening Day
Tropicana Field is the place to be at 7:10 p.m. when the Rays take on the Seattle Mariners in the home opener.

April 8 - Tuesday's Champion
The Tampa Bay Rays will continue to host "Tuesday's Champion" during the 2008 season. Through this program, the Rays provide a memorable experience at the ballpark for a critically ill child.

April 9 - Rays Baseball Foundation Luncheon
The Rays Baseball Foundation, the official charity of the Rays, will award grants to 28 local charities.

April 11-13 - Street Team at Blues Fest
Join us for Rays Watch parties at Ferg's Sports Bar in St. Petersburg on April 4 and Barnacles' Sports Bar in Brandon on April 5 as the Rays play in New York. Rich Herrera will be live with the pre- and postgame radio shows. There will be Rays giveaways and drink specials at both establishments.

April 12 - Aki to sign autographs

Join the Rays Street Team at the St. Pete Kids Fest in North Straub Park in St. Petersburg from 12 noon to 5 p.m.

April 16 - Street Team at Orlando Magic Pregame
The Rays Street Team will be in Orlando with the Magic at 5 p.m.

April 18 - Street Team at University of Tampa
The Street Team will be at the University of Tampa for the Homerun Derby from 6-10 p.m.

April 22 - Open Forum
The Tampa Bay Rays, in partnership with the St. Petersburg Branch of the NAACP, will host an open forum on Tuesday, April 22 at 7 p.m. at 1501 16th Street South, St. Petersburg to discuss the Rays plans for a new ballpark and the redevelopment of Tropicana Field.

April 23 - Rays Read in Orlando
J.P. Howell and Shawn Riggans took an hour on the morning of April 23 to visit over 100 kids at the downtown branch of the Orlando Public Library. J.P. read the children's book Home Run, a story on Babe Ruth, while Shawn read the kids favorite, Casey at the Bat. The kids at the library surprised J.P. with a birthday cake to help him celebrate his birthday a few days early. Shawn and J.P. signed autographs and took pictures before the kids headed back to school.

April 27 - Street Team at Taste of South Tampa
Catch the Rays Street Team as they check out the Taste of South Tampa from 1-5 p.m.

May

May 1 - Watch Party in Tampa
Stop by the Downtown Tampa office and catch the Rays-Orioles game Thursday afternoon where Rich Herrera will be hosting the pre- and postgame shows. The Street Team and Raymond will be handing out giveaways and fans can enter for a chance to win a Rays tickets and prize pack.

May 2 - Street Team in St. Petersburg
Watch out for the Rays Street Team as they drive through the roads of St. Petersburg.

May 3 - Street Team at Tampa Bay Dragon Boat Races
The Rays Street Team will make an appearance at the 5th Anniversary of the Dragon Boat Races.

May 3-4 - Street Team at MacDill Airfest
Catch the Rays Street Team at the MacDill Airfest.

May 10 - Street Team at Miles for Moffitt
The Street Team will be handing out prizes during Miles for Moffitt.

May 12 - Rays Broadcast Auction
Rays Broadcast Auction benefitting the Rays Baseball Foundation and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay.

May 15 - Street Team at Get Down Downtown, Bradenton
The Rays Street Team will be in Bradenton at the festivities from 6-9 p.m.

May 24 - Navarro to sign autographs
Dioner Navarro will appear Saturday, May 24 at the Tropical Smoothie Café at 6800 Gulfport Blvd. from 12 - 1 p.m. to sign autographs.

May 24 - The Commodores

The Rays Wives Organization will be holding a Literacy & Back to School Drive on Aug. 4-6 when the Rays host the Cleveland Indians. Fans are asked to bring old books, school supplies and other learning tools to benefit the Salvation Army's Children's Services. Drop-off locations are at Gates 1, 4, and 5 through the third inning at Tropicana Field. Fans who donate books or supplies have the opportunity to win autographed player photo cards.

Sept. 25 - All Children's Hospital Visit
Twenty-eight Rays Minor Leaguers, including 2008 No. 1 draft pick Tim Beckham, will visit approximately 150 kids who are currently receiving treatment at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg. They will hand out goodie bags, sign autographs and take pictures with the young patients.

Sept. 25 - Rays Watch Party at Brandon Smokey Bones
The Rays are hosting a Watch Party at the Brandon Smokey Bones. Come out and watch the Rays-Tigers game at 1:05 p.m.

Sept. 28 - Greet the Rays at St. Pete/Clearwater Airport

To celebrate their first trip to the postseason, the Rays will host a rally on Monday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m. at Straub Park in downtown St. Petersburg. The event is free and open to the public. More »

Nov. 11 - Rays foundation awards nonprofits
The Rays Baseball Foundation awarded a total of $150,000 to three local nonprofit organizations through the club's All-Star Grant during Tuesday's event at the Batters' Eye Restaurant. More »

A nice turnout greeted the Rays on Wednesday night when they served a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to the families at the newly opened Childs Park YMCA in St. Petersburg. More »

Dec. 5 - Azalea Little League Field Dedication
As part of the Rays Baseball Foundation field renovation program, the team and officials from Azalea Little League will hold a dedication ceremony culminating a three-month renovation project. More »
