Dear Friends,
There was an important omission in the final editing - Section 12 ICCF Archives. Third paragraph is added.
Herewith are Minutes of the ICCF Congress 2008 - Pleven, Bulgaria which are provisional. If anyone who was present at the Congress, would like to suggest any changes/additions etc. could they please send them to me before the end of October. Thereafter, the Minutes will be ready for formal adoption at the 2009 Congress, in England.
May I especially thank our hosts the Bulgarian Correspondence Chess Federation for their superb organisation and hospitality last week and BCCF President, Petyo Marinov, Delegate Prof. Georgi Sapundjiev and Anna Evstatieva for her willing and caring assistance to us all.
Finally, my grateful thanks to Nol van 't Riet, the Deputy Chairman and Eric Ruch, Congress Secretary and to all delegates and officials for their dedicated work in reaching decisions in the best interests of ICCF, all member federations and all correspondence chess players.
It was a truly memorable ICCF Congress, from every point of view :-)
I am sure the ICCF President and all responsible officials will now ensure that decisions made by the 2008 Congress will be implemented.
