"No one is saying that putting up a barrier will stop suicides. Of course it won't. But if this "band-aid" will stop a person from taking that four second jump and make them take just a few more minutes to hopefully seek help, then it is worth it. Why shouldn't we, being the responsible people that we should be, make it just that more difficult for someone to create a permanent end to a temporary ( even if it is no so temporary ) problem."
