What is The Office SNL Thursday spinoff? Is that where the cast/writers of The Office perform in the SNL format and actually make SNL worth watching again? Angela could be the Church Lady; Dwight and Kelly could host Thursday update, and Jim and Pam could well, just continue to be Jim and Pam. Michael and Ryan could be the Ambiguously Gay Superheroes and Creed, Meredith, Phyllis and everyone else could continue to be the awesome bit players they are.

Friday Night Lights renewed - Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!! Question: Is it on the winter schedule because it'll be airing on Direct TV in the fall?

The Office spinoff - BIG mistake. I think it'll flop and will damage the regular show (which I think is already wobbling creatively).

Thursday Night Live - Very interesting. Will it feature the regular Saturday cast, or a whole new group? And is there really so much top-notch material that we need another half-hour of SNL a week? If anything, they need to cut the original back a half hour.

I could do without more Lipstick Jungle, but I'm at least cautiously optimistic about some of the new shows.

Famin, Scrubs is going to ABC for the final season.

Is it just me, or is it really odd to announce a summer schedule this early, much less a winter one. Since any of the shows could flop in the fall, isn't announcing lineups after that kind of a joke? And when would the winter schedule start anyway? (funny that fall is listed as 2008-9 while winter is just 2008)

Hard to believe they canceled 1 vs 100. Makes little sense. Bummer.

I also wonder why FNL will not be on till the winter when they're going to resume shooting in July? If it's because it will only be on DirectTV for the first few months - I don't like that idea. I could handle not seeing the eps for a few days or even a full week after it's initial airing, but months? I guess it's more important that it will be back on the air at all though.

Also, if the rumor of an Office spinoff is true - that is a bad idea. I am a huge Office fan, but any energy and resources that would have to be re-directed to a spinoff would hurt The Office. Also, I thought Rainn Wilson recently confirmed that this was a rumor based on a joke he told a reporter a while back?

Yea for renewal of FNL!!

I'm also glad for the renewal of "Lipstick Jungle" ... I really thought I had seen the last of it, so I'm really, really glad ... now I'm just hoping that ABC doesn't air "Dirty Sexy Money" opposite it.

Also, looking forward to SNL Thursday Night Live and "The Office" spinoff (can't wait to see what that is all about). Also, did I understand right ... "The Office" spinoff will actually premiere this summer??!!

Also, Michael, is there any time frame for when the rest of the networks will release their schedules??

And I'm wondering about "Cashmere Mafia" ... someone told me they heard it was cancelled, but I haven't seen or read anything about that ... anybody know??

An interesting schedule, to say the least.

Is Thursday Night Live just a 3 week thing, then?

Re: the office spinoff. Give it to Karen.

I think Wilson said that HE wouldn't be in a spinoff. If the rumors are to be believed, the spinoff will be primarily all new characters (like what they did with CSI, but with a sitcom?). I think it has flop written all over it, and it has the potential to weaken the original show as well. It really shows how desperate NBC has become.
