Quick Take: Giants (5-1) at Steelers (5-1)

NFL.com

Andy Lyons / Getty Iamges
Ben Roethlisberger is 13-3 against the NFC with a 101.1 passer rating during his career.

Last meeting
Rookie quarterback Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers to a 33-30 win in 2004.

Streaks
The Steelers have won two of the last three meetings, but the Giants lead the all-time series, 43-28-3.

Last week
The host Giants harrassed 49ers quarterback J.T. O'Sullivan as New York prevailed, 29-17.. ... The Steelers experienced a scoring explosion in the fourth quarter to defeat the host Bengals, 38-10.

Keep your eye on ...
The Steel Curtain: The Giants have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL, despite inconsistent play from the quarterback position. They lead the NFL in rushing yards, averaging 170 per game, but they face a tough matchup this week against the Steelers' second-ranked rushing defense. The Giants are 6-1 when Brandon Jacobs has 100 rushing yards.

Who is running the ball: Steelers running back Willie Parker has not played in a month, but the team expects him back this week. Mewelde Moore has proven to be a capable backup after rushing for 120 yards against the Bengals last week. If anything, he's earned at least a few touches against the Giants.

Ward laying the lumber: Steelers receiver Hines Ward has five touchdown receptions this season, but he's gained the most exposure from the punishing blocks he has been putting on opposing defenses. The NFL did not suspend Ward for the block that broke the jaw of Bengals linebacker Keith Rivers, so Giants defenders had better have their heads on a swivel.

Did you know?
Giants receiver Plaxico Burress will play in his first game against his former team. Burress played with the Steelers from 2000-04. ... New York DE Justin Tuck has seven sacks in his previous seven games. ... Steelers LB LaMarr Woodley aims for his fifth consecutive game with a sack.
