The Steel Curtain: The Giants have one of the most potent offenses in the NFL, despite inconsistent play from the quarterback position. They lead the NFL in rushing yards, averaging 170 per game, but they face a tough matchup this week against the Steelers' second-ranked rushing defense. The Giants are 6-1 when Brandon Jacobs has 100 rushing yards.
Who is running the ball: Steelers running back Willie Parker has not played in a month, but the team expects him back this week. Mewelde Moore has proven to be a capable backup after rushing for 120 yards against the Bengals last week. If anything, he's earned at least a few touches against the Giants.
Ward laying the lumber: Steelers receiver Hines Ward has five touchdown receptions this season, but he's gained the most exposure from the punishing blocks he has been putting on opposing defenses. The NFL did not suspend Ward for the block that broke the jaw of Bengals linebacker Keith Rivers, so Giants defenders had better have their heads on a swivel.
