What's new?
Kentucky Attorney General Conway and his staff decided to purchase gifts for others instead of exchanging gifts within the office this year. "It just made sense," General Conway said. "I know this year has been difficult for many Kentucky families, and our office felt it was important to help families in need during the holiday season."
Instead of purchasing gifts, members of the staff donated money to provide gifts for four angels from the Salvation Army Angel Tree. With the money collected, OAG employees were able to purchase a bike, a coat, shoes, an outfit and toys for each child. "It's important this holiday season to share our gifts with those less fortunate, and I encourage others, if they are in a position to help, to share their gifts with citizens in their communities."

Consumer Protection Alert
Attorney General Conway urges consumers to be mindful of recalled or hazardous toys this holiday season. With hundreds of toys, cribs and other children’s products recalled in 2008, it is a daunting task for parents to keep up with all of the items that could pose a danger to children.
Parents can review the latest recall and product safety news from the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
General Conway also recommends reviewing the 2008 Children’s Product Recall Guide produced by the Illinois Attorney General’s Office.
