Kutcher and LaBute eyes on 'Lakeview'

March 12, 2007 Neil LaBute is in negotiations to direct and Ashton Kutcher is in talks to co-star in Screen Gems' thriller "Lakeview Terrace." Samuel L. Jackson and Kerry Washington already have boarded the project, which centers on an LAPD officer (Jackson) who will stop at nothing to force out the interracial couple that recently moved in next door. LaBute, whose film helming credits include "In the Company of Men" and "Nurse Betty," most recently directed the Nicolas Cage starrer "The Wicker Man."
